It’s been a month and a few weeks since my injury. At first, I was frustrated, but I know God works in mysterious ways. My life has never been easy—I come from a third-world country, which I hold with pride. The opportunity to become the first Trinidad-born champion is all the motivation I need to keep my head high.

This is my chance to break the mold and evolve. I refuse to let the game pass me by. Instead, I’m rebuilding, refining, and coming back stronger. I put my faith in a higher power and in those who truly believe in me.
