My foundation lies in wrestling and jiu-jitsu. In jiu-jitsu, I spent countless hours drilling escapes, guard retention, and submissions. This dedication not only improved my own fighting but also fueled a desire to share this knowledge. I began assisting with beginner classes, finding immense satisfaction in guiding others on their Jiu-Jitsu journeys. Witnessing the “aha!” moments and the growth in my students solidified my passion for teaching this amazing art.

My mission extends far beyond the cage. I strive to inspire others through my journey, demonstrating that with perseverance and resilience, any obstacle can be overcome. This philosophy applies not just in the octagon but also on the mats. Jiu-Jitsu teaches us that size and strength aren’t everything. Through dedication and technique, anyone can achieve success. That’s a message I actively share with my students, empowering them to push their limits and build their confidence. Whether inside the octagon or out in the world, I aim to leave a legacy of strength, courage, integrity, and a love for the art of Jiu-Jitsu.Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, I discovered my love for martial arts at a young age. Moving to New Haven, CT, at 14 further fueled my passion, which quickly evolved into a relentless pursuit of excellence within the MMA world.
